Overview

In this role, you will be provideing hands-on support, maintenance, and administration of IT Systems including our internal cloud hosting infrastructure and the Microsoft online stack.

The ideal candidate will have date will have a "client first" demeanour, technical aptitude, and strong problem-solving abilities. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technological abilities, desire to learn & enthusiasm to produce innovative & creative solutions.  The schedule for this role is an alternating Sunday - Thursday and Monday - Friday. A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle is preferable for travel to our data centre in Vaughan.

WHAT YOU DO

  • Design, implement, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 Cloud Services such as Azure AD, Security, Compliance, Endpoint Manager, Exchange, SharePoint and Teams.

  • Maintain Corporate IT systems and private cloud hosting infrastructure including the following:

    • Server and Network Support including VMWare and Microsoft Server Administration and Support
    • Remote app/RDS administration, Workstation and Telecom
    • Security processes including Vulnerability Scanning and Patch Management
    • Monitoring alerting systems
    • Managing Disaster Recovery
    • Using security tools to protect the network from hackers, malware, ransomware and other threats
  • Create & accurately record incidents in the WebSan incident ticketing system.

  • Optimize processes; engineer task automation as needed (PowerShell scripting to complete bulk tasks is a must)

  •  Actively monitor Incident Management System Queue(s), documenting incident and problem resolutions, workarounds, and RCAs for all incidents

  • Support customer systems specifically Azure Active Directory

  • Design, migration, and support of Microsoft 365 for clients.

WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Desirable candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 3 - 5 years experience with internal systems support (e.g. networks, servers, workstations, voice systems, applications, etc.)

  • Must be “new technology” savvy and Staying current/informed on and researching/recommending of new technologies.

  • Direct experience with administering M365, Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange online, and the full suite of Microsoft Office products.

  • Experience working with Remote Desktop Private Cloud (Gateway, Broker, Web Session)

  • Nice to have Experience with Microsoft SQL & performance tuning.

  • Must possess experience with tier 1 network hardware in a production environment.

  • Ability to work well under pressure & in a close team environment

  • Proven analytical & systematic problem solving skills

  • Administration knowledge of VMware ESX Cluster (ESX Certification is an asset).
