No matter what size your business is, time tracking is always a good idea. Without time tracking software, it's easy for your employees to get lost in projects and hard to follow their efficiency and productivity. Below are more reasons why it’s worth considering implementing a time tracking software for your business:
Track Work Efficiently
Time tracking software can create time sheets, which makes it easier to understand your company's workflow. Moreover, you can do without the punch-in/punch-out process and other old-fashioned attendance systems, which make time tracking process more complicated and less convenient both for you and your employees.
Improved Client Billing
When you're billing your clients hourly, time tracking becomes an important part of your successful relationships. Without a proper time tracking software, your customers won't get quick and accurate bills, which will affect not only your relationships with the customer but the credibility of your business in general.
Increased Employee Satisfaction
Time tracking software makes a huge difference for your employees. Time tracking software gives them clear perspective on their tasks, which helps them to organize their time, prioritize their efforts and stay effective during the work hours. These relieve pressure from managers as they don't need to follow every step of their team, which is also a good for the employees, as they feel less stressed.

With ERP software, redundant and repetitive tasks can be greatly reduced thereby improving overall organizational management and employee productivity. With Microsoft Dynamics GP, here are 3 ways that ERP software can help your company maximize its potential and improve overall efficiency:
With certain employees undertaking various roles within your company, it can be difficult to track their time and expenses. Employee Accounts and Splits organizes employee cost and expense distribution, allowing companies to manually control how an employee’s time and expenses will be divided based on department, position, pay code, or general ledger account.
Manage Employee Absences
Whether it be due to vacation time, sick leave, or administrative leave, employee absence can disrupt work flow and result in extra work for payroll to manage absences. Moniroo, a time and expense system integrated with Microsoft Dynamics GP, helps to streamline this process by calculating accruals and managing employee absences through pre-configured leave plan details. Additionally, Moniroo allows companies to track employee expenses and generate automated expense reports and reimbursements.
Provide Workflow Solutions for Employees
To make the life of employees easier, workflow solutions can be implemented. These aid employees in managing their work loads and assigned tasks. Workflows can be customized and tailored for specific departments within your company, allowing employees to transfer reports and customer requests through the appropriate channels for review and/or approval.

More than a software for tracking vacation time or employee hours, an encompassing time and expense system such as Moniroo should prove to be a trusty guide in helping to determine employee efficiency, project budget, internal cost and time off scheduling. A reliable time and expense software should also give staff a real-time visibility of all time and expense data.
Here are top 3 reasons why it’s worth investing in a time and expense system:
1. Track Project Cost and Budget
Apart from determining a project’s budget in the initial planning stages, ensuring that the costs are in-line every step of the way is a must. Tracking progress, time spent on specific projects and determining available resources allows a project manager to identify issues as they happen and make corrections (allotting more or less time depending on the tasks accomplished).
A time and expense management system also keeps a record of tracked projects allowing for better budget and time estimates in the future having the records as reference.
2. Employee Efficiency
Tracking the amount of work for each employee gives an overarching view of employee efficiency. Keeping a log of the tasks and amount of time spent enables managers to evaluate and modify how long tasks are performed and properly allocate resources and responsibilities.
3. Eliminate Paper Trails
Instead of having to look back into numerous spreadsheets and varying systems as reference, a time and expense system should integrate financial data, provide reporting with analytics and dashboards and give an accurate view of expenses and data records. Eliminating paper trails decreases the possibility for processing errors. Incase an error does occur, chances are they can be easily visible through a single consolidated source of data with a time and expense system.

If you find your company is struggling with charging clients or justifying costs internally, it’s high time you considered a Professional Services Automation (PSA) solution.
A Professional Services Automation (PSA) allows you to:
- accurately record time and expenses
- effectively schedule the right resources
- ensure timely billing
- measure the financial performance of both your projects and employees
Before diving deep into searching for the best PSA solution out in the market, you need to take into account the following:
Business needs – You have to decide which processes are the most critical for your organization and have to be automated. There are a lot of solutions that promise they do wonders for your business, but they might be missing the specific options you need.
Scalability – Will the software grow with you? You need to select a flexible PSA solution and make sure that you can update features, add new users or remove existing ones.
Team Decision – Gather all the people in your organization that are going to be involved in the implementation process. This will make it easier for you once you’ll have to get all users onboard to use the PSA solution.
WebSan Solutions is holding a webinar this November that will get you familiar with the idea of using a PSA solution for your business needs. You’ll also have the chance to look at Moniroo, our Professional Services Automation solution that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Microsoft has announced that Business Portal and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 runtime will be discontinued from Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015.
However, the core Business Portal functionality will be included in the GP 2015 web or desktop client. According to Microsoft's Kelly Obach, Manager of the Executive Business Center:
"The plan is to basically phase out Business Portal as we release apps or modules inside Dynamics GP that replace the same functionality".
So, for those clients that would like to purchase or upgrade to Dynamics GP 2015, Business Portal will no longer be available.
In the meantime, you can have a look at WebSan's Time and Expense Management System that seamlessly integrates with Dynamics GP and offers similar, if not better, functionality to Business Portal. From timesheet and expense management to approvals, advanced reporting and purchase orders, our Time and Expense System can improve your employee's productivity and your company's profitability.

We are proud to announce the new features released with our Time and Expense Management System version 4.3. Expense group uploads, General Ledger uploads and overriding default supervisors are a few of the new enhancements that have been added to our system.
Expense Group Uploads
This feature will enable the upload of multi-user expense files. That is, specified users set in the security options have the ability to upload expenses for submission on behalf of other users. So if your department is responsible for submitting expenses, you can now gather all the expense sheets and submit them at once.
General Ledger Uploads
Upload journal entries through a downloadable template and synch them to your Microsoft Dynamics GP General Ledger.
Overriding Default Supervisors
Another new option in the User Management/ Security is the ability to set specific supervisors for users by document type.
WebSan Solutions offers a robust Time and Expense Management System to track your time and expenses hassle-free improving your employees’ productivity and your company’s profitability.

Our Time and Expense Management System offered by WebSan Solutions Inc. allows the employee to easily include and process any expenses that he or she may incur on a company credit card, along with any expenses that were not processed through the company credit card.
This feature is great for the finance department, as they don’t need to do any additional work on their end to process the expense, or to make sure that the appropriate amounts get paid to the employee and the credit card issuer. All that work is done by the employee who incurred the expense.
When an employee is set up with a company credit card, all he or she needs to do when entering in an expense, is to select the option in the drop down box that is provided and the system automatically sets up payments in Microsoft Dynamics GP to be paid to the credit card vendor for the marked entries.
